Nana Akua Nson Akoto School of Medical Arts for Children and Young Adults
Womb Wellness Series
In effort to increase the numbers of African American holistic doctors in the Washington, DC area and nationwide, The Nyame Nti Foundation for Health and Healing has committed to do its part. Medical principles can be taught early in age. Concepts are not difficult but have to be broken down well so that children can grasp them. Our way of doing this is by teaching medicine through the arts. By educating children through a yearly summer intensive, we will inspire, educate and encourage the next generation of African-American doctors that will use pharmaceuticals, food and herbs interchangeably to heal the community.

The womb is a sacred place for women that speaks to our physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. It speaks to our creativity, fertility, flexibility, clarity, generosity and sensuality. I also reflects the familial challenges from our ancestors that we may have inherited that require healing for us to grow and soar. Join us for our womb wellness classes as we focus on healing the most intimate parts of our physical, emotional and spiritual selves.
